Jerry
Daviess, President
President
of Quantum Design since 1996, the dynamic leadership of Jerry
Daviess has overseen growth of annual sales from about $7 million in 1995
to nearly $33 million in 2002. Holding an MBA from Marquette University,
he previously worked for General Electric and was Sales Manager of Toshiba
America's CAT scanner division before joining Quantum Design.
Greg DeGeller,
Chief Operating Officer
Greg DeGeller
joined Quantum Design in 2001 after 22 years with Boeing Company. His
most recent position was Director of Industrial Engineering at the long
Beach facility. Using his extensive experience in manufacturing and quality
control processes, he has directed the reorganization of QD's production
procedures to keep pace with the rapid growth of annual sales during the
last several years. Mr. DeGeller has a BA in Business Administration from
Washington State University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Dave Schultz, Chief
Financial Officer
David Schultz joined Quantum Design in 1991. Prior to joining QD,
Dave was a regional controller for Blockbuster Entertainment and an audit
manager with Coopers & Lybrand. Dave has primary responsibility for
the Company's financial affairs and has overseen a steady stream of record
profits. Dave also manages banking relationships which have allowed the
Company record growth without dilution of the owner's equity interest.
Dave is also a director of Quantum Design Japan and a manager of MagnaBioSciences,
LLC and QD Advanced Research, LLC. Dave has a BA in Business Administration
with an emphasis in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton
and an MBA from University of California, Irvine. Dave also serves as
the volunteer CFO of the Arthritis Foundation San Diego Chapter and is
on the board of directors of the Arthritis Foundation San Diego Chapter
and the San Diego World Trade Center.
Stefano Spagna,
Ph.D., Director of Engineering
Stefano
Spagna joined Quantum Design while a graduate student at the University
of California, San Diego. After earning his Ph.D. he joined the company
full-time as a research physicist. In 2002, he was asked to assume increasing
responsibility in directing activities of the Engineering Department.
He currently is responsible for Quantum Design's product development program
with a world-class technical team based in San Diego.
