MultiVu 1.0.2 (June 2008) MULTIVU • Improve overall system safety checks – disallow field operations when He level is low (red level indicator) • Improve sequence engine – calling scripts/sequences within sequences now works correctly and all scripts/sequences will be pre-parsed to ensure that the sequence won’t stop in the middle of running due to invalid parameters • He fill improvements – problem fixed with timer stopping or not starting and fixed visual glitch (MultiVu window resizing) when starting a He fill • Improve “SQUID” status window – the window now always reflects the actual state of the SQUID module and verifies the SQUID mode prior to measurements. • Added support for VSM Oven and EverCool options (with hardware present) • Link to the latest version of the SVSM User Manual from the Help menu VSM MEASUREMENT • Simplified sample locate and sample installation dialogs by removing items that are not applicable for the SVSM • Simplified all measurement dialogs by removing the “Frequency” selection – the system is optimized to run at a fixed frequency. Using different frequencies can give noisy data or unpredictable results • Corrected M.Std.Err. calculation for small moments – the reported error sometimes was unphysically large for small moments • Fix bug which would sometimes skip an MvsT or MvsH sequence step and log an exception to the VSM.log • Added support for oven option (when hardware is present) TEMPERATURE STATEMACHINE • Fix small temperature steps with large rates to take much longer than they should (this used to cause the sample installation wizard to take a long time before opening the chamber before) • Add new mode to allow temporary operation when CLT impedance is plugged • Remove small temperature glitches when doing small steps/slow ramps • Add additional safety mechanisms to prevent chamber overheating in case the module firmware is not working correctly MOTOR FIRMWARE • Fix bug which caused slow sample locate scans to take forever SQUID FIRMWARE • Improve auto-ranging/Flux jump detection to avoid “Range 1000” error in VSM measurements • Improve noise rejection for frequencies other than the main signal frequency • Improve automated SQUID tuning/nulling/transfer rate detection routines TEMPERATURE CONTROL MODULE FIRMWARE • Add detection for open/shorted heaters and sensor disconnection • Fix detection of line frequency to synchronize thermometers correctly GHM FIRMWARE • Add additional safety interlocks to prevent opening of valves which could cause problems • Improve timing of certain valve operations to prevent possible backstreaming of air into the cooling annulus when parts of the system are malfunctioning • Improve He level reading accuracy/resolution during He transfers • Fix SROM erase bug which could cause the chamber pressure calibration to get lost • Improve speed for purge/seal operation on EverCool systems EVERCOOL CONTROLLER FIRMWARE • Fix valve control during initial system cool down -- MultiVu 1.0.3 (internal release only) -- MultiVu 1.0.4 (April 2009) MULTIVU • Added cool down wizard for all (not just EverCool) systems. The wizard automatically starts when initiating the He fill for a warm system. The wizard will walk the user through all the system cleaning procedures and using the GHM Utility for initial cool downs is no longer required. The included new revision of the manual has more details about the cool down procedure • Fully integrated the Oven option (with hardware present) • Move magnet specific SROM data from the PSU to the probe SROM (socketed SROM on GHM) – MultiVu will migrate the calibration automatically on first startup. This will make changing magnet power supplies much easier as no SROM changes are required in the future • Added timestamp conversion to status calculator • Fix issue where the timer would randomly stop in the middle of a He transfer • Fix several issues with background logging VSM MEASUREMENT • Added “Advanced” button to locate dialog which allows to enter the projected sample moment – this will speed up the locate scan for small moment samples significantly as the software is able to automatically choose the best settings to start with • Allow saving of locate scans from the locate dialog as well as within a sequence • Reduce CPU usage and improve speed for locate operations within a sequence • “VSM Stop Measure” command now waits for the measurement to actually complete in order to avoid bogus warnings when trying to start a new measurement • Fully integrated the Oven option (with hardware present) GHM FIRMWARE • Corrected several SROM stability issues • Compatibility changes for oven/HiVac option -- MultiVu 1.0.5 (June 2011) MULTIVU • Added new quick access buttons for common tasks in the tool bar • Expanded magnet status codes to more correctly reflect the state of the magnet • No longer allow setting a field charging rate of 0 Oe/s • Improved error logging to give more relevant information and remove redundant entries • Added online help to MultiVu and the Options VSM MEASUREMENT • Added the ability to save centering scans • Improved Auto-Tracking and SQUID Auto-Ranging • Cirrected timing in MvsH and MVsT commands to properly use seconds as indicated by the interface rather than ms used before • Fixed logarithmic spacing for negative fields in MvsH commands OPTIONS • Added EverCool compressor control from within MultiVu • Added support for the ULF option • Integrated the oven option to be compatible with the EverCool option GHM FIRMWARE • Compatiblity improvements for option interaction (EverCool and HiVac) OVEN FIRMWARE • Temperature stability problems addressed • Errors with overwriting the SROM configuration files were solved -- MultiVu 1.0.5.56 Update (July 2011) MULTIVU • Integrated online help • Upgraded scripting engine • Addressed option compatibility issues VSM MEAUREMENT • Extended the ability of the AC Measurement Option • Corrected several issues related the measurement option crashing
