Lock in the measure count at the start of a measurement. j. Change simulation limits to 1.6K to 400K and 140000Oe. k. Query user if deactivating and a sequence is running. l. Clear the datafile parameters when the option is deactivated. m. Use default datafile if user file cannot be opened. n. Stop a measurement when the sequence file is stopped. o. Prevent multiple measurements from being run concurrently. VERSION 2.1.0.2 a. Converted to Delphi 5. b. Fix problem with multiple Torque commands when TQM is reactivated. c. Add tree structure to the Torqe measurements (currently only Torque). d. Log errors to the MultiVu event log. e. Add View Calibration file button to Calibrate dialog. f. Add about box. g. Ask if the user wants to use the default datafile name if none is specified when a sequence is run. c. Use config directory for installation of system calibration files. VERSION 2.0.2 a. Adds on-line help. VERSION 2.0.1 a. Requires PPMS MultiVu 3.6 or higher. b. Improved system diagnostic capabilities. c. Minor internal modifications to the MultiVu interface. VERSION 2.0 a. Requires PPMS MultiVu 3.5 or higher. b. Added Torque Magnetometer Control Panel menu to replace the Sample Install menu. This dialog displays as long as the Torque Mag option is active. A Datafile selection tab is added to this dialog, which replaces the Datafile selection on the system Control Panel. c. Added additional bridge checking and data integrety checking to notify user of possible improper connections or other malfunctions. VERSION 1.3 a. Requires PPMS MultiVu 3.3 or higher. b. Added curve smoothing for the baseline bridge ratio values in the calibration table. c. Added cubic interpolation for torque coefficients and baseline bridge ratios. VERSION 1.2.2 a. Requires PPMS MultiVu 3.1 or higher. b. Minor changes to improve reliability and ease of use. VERSION 1.2.1 a. Fix bug which causes hardware check messages to be displayed twice when the Sample Install menu is activated. b. Collect magnetoresistance data in the calibration file. VERSION 1.2 a. Fix intermittent problems with setting the user thermometer for a calibration run. b. Fix a problem which occurs if the user does not enter a calibration file name. c. Perform an additional field sweep at low and high temperatures during calibration. d. Fixed a problem in which no data is recorded when the status box is not checked in the torque mag sequence command. VERSION 1.1 a. Use Install Shield(R) for the Torque Magnetometer installation to automate the installation process. b. The user bridges are turned ON after checking for the correct hardware configuration. This prevents loss of data which occurs if a calibration is made and bridges 2 or 3 are turned off. c. The datafile format for existing datafiles is checked for correctness prior to running a sequence files. This prevents Torque data from being added to a old datafile which does not have Torque data. d. The user is prompted for permission to append to an existing datafile before starting a sequence file and writing new data to the existing datafile. e. The user will now get a confirmation dialog after selecting a file from the Download button on the Configuration tab. f. The user can specify the display time (in seconds) for the Tool-Tip Hints by modifying the System registry using the Regedit.exe tool on the following entry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER.Software.QuantumDesign.TqMAG.Preferences "ShowHints"="60.0" The default value is 60.0 seconds and can be changed to zero or any positive value. A value of zero will supress the display of Tool-Tip Hints. g. The Torque Magnetometer Option supports the new Excel compatable data file format. This is by default. If a user wishes to create data files in the old format, add the following to the System registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER.Software.QuantumDesign.TqMAG.Preferences.UseOldDatafileFormat as a Binary value equal to 01,00,00,00 h. The following additional items are added to the System Registry but should not be modified by the user: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QuantumDesign\TqMAG\Configuration "Bridge2_default"="2,400,10,0,1,10" Bridge 2 default settings "Bridge3_default"="3,100,1000,0,1,95" Bridge 3 default settings "Bridge4_resistance"="22000" Bridge 4 resistance (ohms +/-5%) "Coil_area"="4.0e-6" Torque chip calibration coil area (m^2) "Coil_resistance"="5090" Torque calibration circuit resistance (ohms) "Analog_output_channel"="4" Analog output channel for calibration "InstallationVerify"="Installed" For use by installation program i. Correct a problem with the Make Default button on the Configuration page, Advanced options. The Make Default was using an incorrect Registry entry and the data was not readable by the Get Default button. j. Correct an intermittant problem which prevents the Install Sample menu from displaying. k. Correct an intermittant problem in which the Calibration table not correctly checked for existance prior to running a sequence. l. Correct a problem which prevented the Calibration menu from displaying when the magnet was not operational. 3. Undocumented Features a. A calibration table can be rebuilt from the raw data file which was generated during a full calibration (see manual). This may be usefull if a calibration file were accidently deleted, edited or otherwise corrupted and no backup is available. To enable this feature, add the following Registry entry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER.Software.QuantumDesign.TqMAG.Preferences.Prototype as a Binary value equal to 01,00,00,00 This will enable a new Tab on the Calibration menu (the Utilities Tab). The Utilities Tab has a section (Rebuild Calibration File) which allows the user to select a raw calibration datafile from which the calibration table can be rebuilt.
