Quantum Design PPMS® Legacy Product
The Quantum Design PPMS represented a unique concept in laboratory equipment: an open-architecture, variable temperature and magnetic field system designed to perform a variety of automated measurements. Available measurement options included all required hardware and electronics to immediately begin collecting publication-quality data, while the system was also easily adapted to custom user experiments. Sample environment controls included magnetic fields up to ±16 T and a temperature range of 1.9 - 400 K. Its expandable design enabled the combination of many features in one instrument, making the PPMS one of the most versatile systems of its kind.
Obsolescence Information
PPMS sales have been discontinued, but we will continue to service and support existing systems until the end of 2028. For one year after the end of spare parts purchases and service, you can continue to work with the Quantum Design service team to explore solutions to extend the life of your PPMS. We will do everything we can via multiple communication channels to solve any problems you have until the end of 2029.
